Sponsorship Details & Checklist
• Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of each month, 11:30am-1pm.
• Location: Smithville American Legion, 2607 NE Hwy 92
• Venue will be open & a representative from the Chamber will be there by 10:30am
• Lunch needs to be ready to serve at 11:20am. If food is catered by the Legion, make sure to ask Hope if you need to bring in drinks and cups. If you are having someone other than the Legion cater, please be aware that if they are planning to do a buffet style than someone will need to serve the meal as the Legion does not allow a self-serve buffet. The best option is usually to have the meals individually boxed/wrapped if possible.
• Sponsor needs to provide everything necessary for lunch including plates, utensils, napkins, cups, drinks, etc.
• We advise that the meal be ordered 2 weeks in advance.
• Average attendance at luncheons is 65 - 70 people. Registration is strongly encouraged, however sometimes we do have a few that just show up without registration. I will update you on those registered so far, the Monday before.
• Distribution of materials is permitted by the sponsor only and may be placed on all tables.
• The program will begin shortly after the meeting starts (noon). The program needs to be 15 to 20 minutes in length, including questions.
• If you do not want to schedule the program, the Chamber can schedule one for you. Please contact the office at least 3 weeks in advance if you would like us to schedule a speaker.
• We ask that the program be educationally based.
• Tablecloths are optional.
• Table decorations are optional. These can be raffled off at the end of the meeting if you so desire. There are typically 12-14 tables set up at the meeting. Some sponsors do have an item to raffle at the end, but it is not required.
• The meeting will conclude by 1:00pm.
