![A New Chapter for Smithville Business: Welcoming Nick Harlin as Chamber President & CEO
The Smithville Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Nicholas (Nick) Harlin has officially accepted the position of President, formerly known as Executive Director, of the Smithville Area Chamber of Commerce.
Nick is from the area and is a proud @smithville_highschool graduate, bringing both hometown roots and a fresh, modern perspective to the Chamber. After gaining extensive experience in marketing, event planning, social media strategy, community outreach, and relationship building, Nick has returned to the community with a strong desire to contribute to its continued growth and success.
He is a 2026 MBA graduate from Kansas State University, earning his degree with an emphasis in Marketing, further strengthening his ability to lead the Chamber with strategic insight and a forward‑thinking approach.
“We are excited to welcome Nick into this role,” said [Chamber Board Chair, Jeanne Saylor]. “His connection to this community, combined with his professional strengths and passion for building relationships, makes him an exceptional fit for our business community. We look forward to the leadership and energy he will bring to the Chamber.”
Nick’s official start date will be Monday, July 6. Join us for a community meet‑and‑greet on July 9th, where members, partners, and residents will have the opportunity to welcome Nick and learn more about his vision for the Chamber.
