- Meet Our Newest Members – We have teamed up with the local newspaper to introduce all of our new members to the community. You will receive a free ad in an upcoming edition of the Smithville Herald.
- Chamber Directory – The directory is produced annually. In the front half, your business can be listed under two different categories, while you will be listed alphabetically in the back section of the directory. This advertising opportunity is given to all new residents through the Welcome Program and is sent out in all relocation and vacation packets.
- Chamber Luncheon – The Chamber Board, staff and all 200+ members are invited to our monthly luncheon that is held the second Wednesday of every month. The meal is furnished and followed by an entertaining program. The luncheon also serves as a great networking tool as well as a marketing opportunity. At the end of each luncheon, we ask for upcoming activities and comments from members. This is a great time to share upcoming events and activities that your organization has on their agenda.
- Bulk Mailing – Use the Chamber’s Bulk Mail Permit for substantial savings on mailings of 200 pieces or more.
- Member Newsletter – The Chamber’s monthly newsletter is mailed to all members the week prior to the membership meeting. It’s a great way to stay updated on Chamber board decisions, upcoming meetings and member events, and other member opportunities. It also provides another cost-effective way to advertise your services or products to your fellow Chamber members. An 8 ½ x 11-inch flyer can be included in the newsletter for $40.00.
- Look for the Logo Advertising Campaign – A full-blown media blitz in local media outlets throughout the year, promoting the campaign slogan “Shop Smithville Chamber Members First”. Displaying your membership logo helps us to advertise for you, keeping sales tax dollars in our community. We have a new billboard going up in the heart of Smithville, along with upcoming newspaper advertisements – let us do the marketing for you!
- Sponsor a Chamber Luncheon – As a sponsor or co-sponsor for one of the monthly luncheons, you can make a 20 minute presentation highlighting your business. Your audience may not need your services that day, but they may know someone who does and refer you, or they may need you in the future and remember your program
- Part-time Staff – The Smithville Area Chamber of Commerce has a part-time staff member available to advocate your business from the Chamber’s office at 105 W. Main Street in downtown Smithville. Our office hours are 9:00am-1:00pm.
- Welcome Program – The Smithville Area Chamber of Commerce sponsors a welcome program for new residents. Hospitality Hostess, Kelly Busch, shares your business information with the new residents of Smithville.
- Chamber Functions & Networking Opportunities – Attend monthly luncheons and business-sponsored “After Hours”. Your paid membership allows you to join over 200 businesses for opportunities for networking, business advice, and sharing information on products and services.
- Ribbon Cuttings – Remember to include the Chamber in your groundbreaking, grand opening, or expansion celebrations. We bring the Board Members, the big scissors and ribbon, and make arrangements for the local press to be there.
